PRIZES AND ROLES
Art. 11 - Two scholarships, each one of € 500,00 (euro five hundred) will be awarded to students, younger than 25 years. Certificates of attendence from the music-schools must be enclosed the application form. The Jury will choose the winners after the preliminary audition.
Art. 12 - Scholarships will be awarded to participants of the “Lyric workshop” after the selection of theroles in the following opere during the” Opera-season 2010 in Ercolano “.

The Jury will choose the participants of these opere from among all the Contestants of the Competition, not only the Prize-winners.
Art. 13 - Scholarships will be awarded to partecipants of a special course of 5 days in January 2010 “Interpretation of Canzone Napoletana” (neapolitan songs).

Encyclopedia of Music will be awarded only to foreign Contestants of the Competition
Art. 15 - The Prize “Ugo Sesini”will be awarded by the Committee of musical journalists;
The Prize “Franz Joseph Haydn”will be awarded by a Jury of young students;
The Prize “Domenico Barbaja”will be awarded by the Committee of lyrical agents;
The Prizes “Costiera dei Fiori” will be awarded by a popular Jury.
Art. 16 - The Jury reserves the right to not award all the prizes and to divide the prizes in case of ex-equo classifications.
PREPARATORY COURSE “LYRIC WORKSHOP”
Art. 17/a - Winners and suitable Contestants will attend the” Lyric Workshop” for one month, in spring 2010. The course will include: vocal tecnique, recitation, stage workshop and preparation of several lyric opere. The Jury is entitled to choose more than one winner for each opera-role and also to decide some suitable Contestants, not only winners.
Art. 17/b - Preparatory course attendance and participation in the didactic activity is obligatory and gratuitous. All the participants will be awarded a monthly scholarship of € 800,00 conditioned to a constant and profitable attendance of the course and to the participation and realization of the opere during the Opera-Season 2010 in Ercolano, without any additional reimbursement.
Art. 17/c - The participants’attendance at the course will be compulsory. No absence will be accepted during the course. The Association can occasionally and by grounded and justified reasons,permit short absence, but never during opere reharsals or during some other performances.
Art. 17/d - The Association can also utilise either suitable participants of current edition, or winners of previous editions as well as winners of other international competitions to cover performance vacancies in the opere to be peformed during the Opera-Season.
Art. 17/e - During the whole period of the course the participants must be available either for concerts, other runs of opere, for partial or total radiophonic,television and discografic shoots and recordings or for any other initiative decided by the artistic direction, without any compensation.
Art. 17/f - Application to Competition admittance is to be intended as whole comprehension and agreement upon the current regulations and the competitors are to be strictly bound to comply with all provised rules, art.17/c-d and particularly: any competitor liable to serious mishaps, misbehaviour, poor attendance will be excluded from the competition itself with the consequent loss of any right and benefit and reimbursement of the scholarships.
